Carla Welechuk Kowski has been in the beauty industry for nearly 3 decades, working as a beauty educator for Chanel, a Celebrity Personal Travel Artist, a Corporate and Personal Stylist for Microsoft, the Senior Lead Artist and General Manager for Salon Maison in Seattle, WA, and in Orange County, CA, as well as serving in various other scopes of the industry.
Carla has had the unique opportunity to work with the industry’s finest while enjoying the space to grow and perfect her skills. Her passion remains in the one-on-one interactions and the relationships she builds with each of her clients. Helping them reflect on their inner self in all its beauty, Carla takes a holistic approach to one’s outward beauty, knowing that your true glow comes from the inside. Carla believes beauty and style are all about self-expression as a way to communicate on a visual plane.
After relocating from the West Coast in 2018, Carla founded Alea Beauty in Columbus, Ohio as a way to offer a more personal and specialized beauty service.

Leigh Ann Pacheco is Alea Beauty’s General Manager and Key Artist. She is a licensed cosmetologist and educator at the Paul Mitchell School in Columbus, Ohio.
Leigh Ann has been with Alea Beauty since it’s conception and brings a wealth of knowledge to her leadership. As a veteran in the beauty industry. Having worked in film, print and education, Leigh Ann sets the tone for Alea Beauty’s vision, staying with our signature ‘Natural, yet Elevated’ look while keeping us forwarding moving with modern approaches and trends.. She has over 20 years experience in both beauty and management. Leigh Ann’s leadership keeps Alea Beauty running smooth and efficiently with a focus on customer service and client experience.

Rachel Canup is Alea Beauty’s Regional Manager for Columbus and Phoenix as well as our Head of Talent.
Rachel has been with Alea Beauty since 2019. She is a licensed cosmologist and has her pulse on all things beauty. When not working weddings, she spends her time behind the chair at Lacquer Gallery HAIR + NAILS creating stunning colors and styles. Rachel has been in the beauty industry over 20 years and has worked in both Phoenix and Columbus at numerous salons.

Alli Sink is one of Alea Beauty’s Lead Artists and our In-House Esthetician.
Alli has been with Alea Beauty since 2021. She is a licensed esthetician and when not working weddings helps clients achieve their dream skin at one of our preferred medical spas: Emerald Aesthetics.

Jessica Cox is one of Alea Beauty’s Makeup Artists and our Brand Ambassador.
Jessica is a former Alea Bride turned Alea Team Member. She has been with Alea Beauty since 2021. She is our self-proclaimed “Sanitation Fairy”. When not working on her own clients you can find her assisting the team and making sure our workplaces stay clean and sanitary. She is a BARBICIDE® certified expert.
You’ve probably seen Jessica at a wedding show or local networking event, talking all things makeup and beauty. She is Alea Beauty’s go-to Hype Gal!
The Alea Beauty team was wonderful! They helped me wrangle my 20+ women that needed hair and makeup on the day of the wedding. From the flower girls to grandmothers and everyone in between, everyone felt pampered and beautiful! It was so helpful that they were able to come to our venue to make it as easy as possible for me on our wedding day!

Our Founder, Carla Welechuk Kowski is a domestic abuse and sexual assault survivor. Her life has also been touched by family members battling cancer. As such she is passionate about helping others, knowing that kindness can change someone’s life, as it did hers.

A: Hair and makeup: We are not tied to any particular product brand. Instead we use the highest quality professional and luxury products available.
Spray Tanning: We use Perfect Glow Sunless products.
Extensions: We are an exclusive authorized retailer for HaloCouture Hair Extensions.
Q: Do you offer services for trans people?
A: Yes! Alea Beauty LLC is a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. We are a Stands for Trans registered salon.
