I can’t believe that it’s already been one whole year since the love of my life and I got married! October 8, 2020 was a glorious, sunny day and everything about the day was amazing.

Just like many other couples who were planning a bigger wedding last year, our plans changed. We opted to have an elopement with just the two of us along the Scioto Mile with the skyline in the background. We both wrote our own vows, hired musicians to play a surprise song (Taylor Swift’s Lover) and our first dance following the ceremony (James Arthur’s Say You Won’t Let Go), and everything about it was personal and intimate.

After we officially said “I Do”, we took newlywed portraits during golden hour. Then we went to Strongwater Food & Spirits and enjoyed our first dinner has husband and wife. This day is exactly what we needed, even though it’s not what we were planning. Honestly, we wouldn’t have had it any other way! We were truly able to focus on one another and be totally present in the moment of becoming husband and wife. Cheers to 1 year!🥂

Today is Meredith and Nick's first wedding anniversary!! I can't believe how fast this year has gone. Since they were affected by the pandemic, they had to make changes to their wedding day. They decided to move the ceremony and reception to The Westin Great Southern Columbus so that everything could be in one location. Their wedding day was nothing short of amazing! All of the details were so elegant and thoughtfully planned out.

Nick grew up in Dayton, and Meredith grew up in Columbus, but these two swapped cities when it came time for college! They met online, and they knew they were meant to be together forever after their first date! 

We went with a classic updo completed with a hairpiece and long flowing veil for Meredith's look on the wedding day. Her makeup was very natural-looking, complete with a deep pink lipstick to make her lips pop.

Working with Meredith and her bridesmaids to make them feel beautiful on her wedding day was such a joy!
